Voted Best CBD in Petaluma People’s Choice Awards 2024, 2025 & 2026
We’re deeply grateful — and more than a little flattered — to have won Best CBD in Petaluma three years running! Taking care of our community in Petaluma is central to the Down Under Industries mission. From the beginning, our goal has been to provide a safe, trusted experience for consumers in this city. Thank you for choosing us, trusting us, and providing our business with such unwavering support. We feel so lucky to be a part of such a wonderful community that has named us the best CBD in Petaluma!
A Little Bit About How We Got Here
Our dispensary started with a love story that continues to this date. Owners Jamie, a Petaluma native, and Rod, a wild-child Australian, met back in 2007. Both brought a strong work ethic and a real passion for cannabis to the table. In December 2019, that turned into their first storefront, just outside Petaluma town lines.
Not long after, we launched same-day delivery across Petaluma and the surrounding towns. It let us expand access and bring a little kindness straight to people’s front steps.
As we’ve grown, so have our hearts, hopes, and ties to the community. We’re beyond excited to share some news: Down Under will soon open a second retail location. We’re one of only three dispensaries granted the opportunity to operate within city limits. We cannot wait to provide further support to our community through this new space—offering the same charming, boutique vibes, the same friendly service, yet with a bit of a black-tie finish.
The Best CBD in Petaluma
The Argus-Courier People’s Choice Awards are an annual, community-driven contest hosted by our local newspaper. Each year, the public nominates and votes for their favorite local businesses, services, nonprofits, and professionals. It’s a true celebration of Petaluma’s vibrant and diverse tapestry, showcasing the best of what our city has to offer and giving thanks to those who dedicate their lives to our community.
In 2024, we had the honor of winning the People’s Choice Award for Best CBD in Petaluma! This was an incredibly important milestone for our business, especially given the benefits of CBD and our mission to provide care and support for Petaluma residents.
We were crowned winners again in 2025, re-instilling our dedication to providing the best CBD dispensary in Petaluma.
Being three-time winners after earning the People’s Choice Award again in 2026 is something of a dream. We feel incredibly seen and are so happy that Petaluma feels it too. We believe in the power of our favorite plant to provide relief, relaxation, and joy to the people who enjoy her leafy goodness.
Thank you to each and every person who took the time to vote for us. You are our family and our inspiration, the reason why we operate and continue to thrive. We are deeply motivated to continue serving you the very best of what we have to offer.
The Future of Down Under Industries
We’re ready to keep pushing boundaries. What can community, education, hospitality, and kindness look like in this market? We want to find out, together with our city. As we ride the high off of this incredible achievement, we feel fueled to put all of our energy into stronger products, connections, and educational initiatives built for Petaluma.
Petaluma has this laid-back, take-care-of-your-neighbors energy that we’ve always loved, and we like to think we reflect that right back. With open eyes and ears, we are dedicated to fostering a business that is constantly improving and learning from the people we operate for. We are so grateful to call Petaluma our home and cannot wait to see what the future holds!
